Who am I?

Good question.....I've been trying to figure that out for years! My favorite button years ago said:

"I'm trying to find myself, have you seen me anywhere?"

The basic facts are:

I'm originally from Maryland, but lived 14 years in Norway, where my late husband was from. He was diabetic (with major complications) and Norway has socialized medicine....need I say more? Both my kids were born in Norway and we have since moved to Asheville, NC (2 years ago), where I am working on building up my business and rebuilding my life after Norway. My oldest daugher is soon 14 and wants to be a Broadway star and has the talent to do it! My youngest daughter is 7, very smart and a bit of a handful!

I've been doing jewelry since College. I originally learned the technique from my late husband, at least the basics, and learned most of the rest myself or here and there through experience and experimentation. In 2006, my first book was published, Silver Threads, Making Wire Filigree Jewelry (Kalmbach).

My other interests include Scifi/Paranormal, mushroom hunting, rockhounding, cooking, lapidary, drawing, singing and internet stuff.

I have a myspace page, where I blog, mostly about my jewelry related things, but decided to make a general blog here. I'd like to have more contact with people with similar interests....I spend too much time holed away in my studio or dealing with kids these days.

Not sure what I'll be writing over time, I just have been feeling the need to write of late.
